CBTW - Collaboration Betters The World

From 2024 - Now

1. Looking for new opportunities.

After a few years working as a Senior Front-End Developer at FPT Software, I began looking for new opportunities in a product-based company. My goal was to join a global product company in the recruitment, insurance, or real estate domain. I came across this job on LinkedIn, and after 3–4 rounds of interviews, I was hired under CBTW’s Build-Operate-Transfer (BOT) service to work as an InfoTrack employee, collaborating directly with Australian engineers while CBTW manages my employment and payroll.

2. First time working in product company.

That marked a real milestone for me, moving from an outsourcing role to a product-focused environment (well, technically about 80% product and 20% outsource, since CBTW is still the one paying my salary, haha).
Working in this company has enriched my technical skills to the next level. I am no longer limited to the front-end boundary, I now have visibility into many systems and how they communicate. I have also enhanced my expertise in Micro Front-End architecture, as we manage numerous micro apps and maintain many repositories.
Especially in a product company, I’m not just implementing features like in an outsourcing role, I also have the opportunity to propose ideas and solutions by creating proof-of-concepts (POCs), writing white papers, and delivering presentations every year.
I also really enjoy the hybrid work model here: two days in the office and three days working remotely. The office days are perfect for bonding with colleagues, while the remote days save me from traffic jams and give me more flexibility.

3. FullStack Engineer.

I originally joined the company as a Senior Front-End Developer. However, during my time here, with the support of my Delivery Manager (DM) and Solution Architect (SA), I was given more opportunities to learn and contribute to back-end tasks as well. Having access to the company’s rich set of repositories greatly accelerated my learning process.
Today, I am capable of working as a full-stack developer, both in my company projects and in my personal projects.

I know you might be curious about my back-end capabilities, so I invite you to explore my personal project for evaluation. I have developed and released a full-stack application called MoneyTrack, which is available on the App Store.

4. Recap

Working in this company has been a major turning point for me, helping me improve both my soft skills and hard skills. I’ve had the opportunity to work closely with overseas colleagues and build a family-like bond with my Vietnam team.
